Here at the Grand River Trail Riders, or GRTR for short, we want to extend our welcoming hands toward all of those who are curious about snowmobiles and the sport itself to all of the residents of Northeast Ohio.
The Grand River Trail Riders Snowmobile Club was started in 1973 by a group of dedicated and avid snowmobilers to spread the word about this great sport and recruit more recreationalists to enjoy breathtaking scenery and another way to enjoy the cold Northeast Ohio winters. The tremendous amount of effort put forth by these founding club members has ushered the GRTR to one of the oldest; most active clubs in the state. Our club boasts a membership of over 85 families, one of the largest snowmobile clubs in Ohio.
The Grand River Club and its members have been an instrumental part of changing Ohio snowmobiling forever with the opening of the first public trail on the abandoned 714 Railway in Ashtabula and Trumbull Counties. The GRTR has achieved many milestones before and after this.
